I was hired to work as the social media coordinator for Curry Health Center in the spring of 2019, and I began work that August. In August of 2021, I was promoted to social media manager and am currently still in this position.

Work Samples

I recognized that with the increased number of links that Curry Health Center was sharing with the student population in the spring of 2020 due to COVID-19, one space for links in our Instagram bio wasn’t enough. I did some research and decided to pitch the idea of starting a Link.tree for the health center to my supervisor. Ever since, I have updated the Link.tree with direct links to the Missoula County Health Department, the Curry Health Center website, the Health Nut Blog through the University, and other important links.

Fall 2019 – Semester Project

My semester project for Fall of 2019 was an essential oils campaign. I researched several common ailments that could be improved by essential oils that Curry Health Center Wellness carries. I designed the graphics, using photographs of the essential oils and using photoshop to cut them out. I designed the graphics around the essential oils and wrote the captions for the social posts.

Caption for Wellness Tip Wednesday’s Essential Oils for Boosting Focus: “This week’s #WellnessTipWednesday is all about using essential oils to boost your focus! Grapefruit, Peppermint and Amyris are great oils for boosting focus. You can use any essential oils in a diffuser, but make sure your oil is mixed with a carrier oil if you want to use it topically. You can come into the Curry Wellness office and pick up some oils!”

Spring 2020 – Semester Project

My semester project for Spring of 2020 was a tea campaign. I researched several common ailments that could be improved by different varieties of teas that Curry Health Center Wellness carries. I designed the graphics, using photographs of the tea bags and using photoshop to cut them out. I designed the graphics around the different teas and wrote the captions for the social posts.

Caption for Wellness Tip Wednesday’s Teas for Anxiety: “This week’s #WellnessTipWednesday is all about teas for anxiety! Peppermint and chamomile teas are great for decreasing anxiety. Make yourself a cup of either teas when you start to anxious, or if you anticipate an anxious event. Be Well, UM!”

Meditation Monday Graphics

During the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the Wellness staff at the Curry Health Center decided that it was important to put content out for students that was not about COVID-19. I pitched a meditation mini-campaign to give students access to constructive and healthy coping mechanisms to combat the stressful times we were in, and it was approved by the Montana University System for publication.
